CRUSHIN’ IT is our big time Hampshire boar purchase from Doug Stewart in the 2022 NSR “The Draft” Online Sale!! As we were watching the preview, we really liked what we saw as Doug Stewart’s Hampshire boar video started to play. As we dove deeper into research on him, we thought his pedigree was just what we were looking for to add to our Hampshire boar arsenal! Sired by Candy Crush (World Class grandson) that was bred by Gibson Girls and back on a Vaquero (Legacy x Flat Bill) sow, his genetic background was as unique and valuable as the great phenotypic traits he displays!! It seems like with the Hampshire breed especially, identifying boars that not only are impressive to look at and are popular, but most importantly, breed on and make the next generation better can be a challenge. Sometimes you just have to follow your gut instinct and purchase a Hampshire boar that you believe has the right genetic package and the look of a boar that has what it takes to be that potent generator! Our gut instinct told us that CRUSHIN’ IT had that “it” factor that the great breeding hogs have and knew we needed to own him.
