ESSENTIAL is our exciting new purchase from Chad Decker! When we purchased Distinct from Heimer last Spring, we were excited to see how his phenotype and genetic makeup would blend with our existing bloodlines in stud here at PBG, specifically Visionary daughters. The reports have been extremely positive, confirming many of those thoughts, and hogs built like ESSENTIAL are what we envisioned! ESSENTIAL's dam is Taylor Schuerman's 2015 Indiana State Fair Grand Overall Gilt! This sow line has been incredibly productive for the Deckers, consistently producing very sellable pigs that feed and perform at the highest levels of competition!

ESSENTIAL combines many of the best characteristics of both parents into one incredibly good package! He is tall fronted and freaky in his extension through the front 1/3 of his body. Very crisp and descript in his muscle pattern and carries this shape down low through his lower stifle. He is bold and robust through the center portion of his body. ESSENTIAL is huge chested and offers tremendous spread and dimension from the top of his skeleton all the way to the ground, standing on big, even toes.Extremely flexible and athletic on the move-we think ESSENTIAL is an absolute barrow making machine!!
