Real Steele x One Truth

Bred by Reed Livestock

HALLELUJAH is our recent private purchase from Brockman Farms and has certainly become a quick favorite of many visitors, as well those that have HALLELUJAH litters on the ground. HALLELUJAH is a boar that Brockman Farms purchased from Dan Reed at Reed Livestock and talking with them throughout the Winter/Spring breeding season, it was evident that they had a great deal of confidence in what he was capable of as a sire!!

Listed below is Josh and Carrie's description that gives a real clear picture of the elite genetic heritage stacked deep in his pedigree, combined with all his impressive visual traits to make this one incredibly exciting addition to PBG!!

"Hallelujah’s mother is a One Truth sow that is one of three sisters raised by Reed Livestock that we have been very familiar with, being mates to the Reserve Division 1 Cross barrow at Ft Worth in 2024 for Reed’s daughter Ryland, and another Class winner at Austin of Kindal Shackelford’s our crew was able to feed that spring, plus some more! The French Kiss grandmother here also originated from the very same place as Stud Monkey himself, Blount Farms! On the top side of his pedigree is the Wide Awake son at Todd Showpigs, named Real Steele. This boar, bred by Mike Steele, is out of a Buckle Up sow and the same Never Before grandmother as the $475,000 “Wild Time” boar at PBG that made the Grand Barrow at OYE ‘25, and the Reserve Barrow at San Antonio ‘25! I know that’s a lot of info in the pedigree, but a lot that needed to be said of the success in this pedigree line, and to give the credit where it’s due for all those listed above in having a part in making Hallelujah! Phenotypically, Hallelujah does so many things right: strong square front feet that point the right way, awesome skull shape, big arm, big blade, square muscle pattern that lays appropriately on his body, and one beautifully big, square, and loose rear leg. Fundamental boxes are checked with the unique extras in feature, stoutness, and presence. This one could be a very fun ride!”
