FOUNDATION is a powerful new Duroc boar addition that has a chance to make major changes!! He was purchased from Weishuhn Brothers by Goss Livestock and Redwood Genetics at Lackey's first farm sale this summer. We had heard a ton of good about this one and after staying in contact with Goss, we knew we needed to buy him and bring him to PBG and are sure glad we did! This is one ultra impressive Duroc boar that we are pumped to have here!!

FOUNDATION is STOUT at every indicator. He is so stout in his skull and jaw, yet still long and clean in his throat latch and smooth in the crest of his neck. He has an enormous forearm and front foot, bold in his forerib and massive in his center dimension. For a Duroc boar that exhibits this much stoutness of feature, he is still really expressive in his muscle pattern and has a big, stout hip. He can plant and motor with extreme reach and range of motion, tying it altogether in a frame size and stature that reads very versatile and should allow him to sire elite show barrows as well as big ring show gilts that can win!!

Foundation is sired by the popular Rock Steady back on a BackFire x Deal With It x He's The One sow, stacking up several of the recent legends of the Duroc breed for generations! The Backfire sow produced a class winner at San Angelo in her first litter and she is a littermate to 2 class winners at San Angelo the year prior. This sow family represents the heart of the Weishuhn's duroc sow herd! The Weishuhn Brothers are known for making winners on the big stages and boars of multiple breeds and colors that flat get it done!! We are pumped to see what FOUNDATION can do.
