Our second trip to Mauck’s in the summer of ’17 resulted in the purchase of this big time crossbred boar! We had talked to several people who had seen him as a young pig and indicated he was one of the best weanlings they had seen. When the crew at Mauck Showhogs contacted us regarding him, we jumped at that opportunity!Universal is the kind of boar that we feel very comfortable recommending to our customers regardless of the type of female they are breeding. He is a versatile type of boar that also has the extras that it takes to win at the highest levels of competition.

Universal is extreme in his stoutness of feature and mass. He is square and opened up on the top side of his skeleton and carries this width to the ground. He is impressive in his rib and body shape and is very balanced and proportionate in his build. At his foundation, he has big, square, evenly spaced toes and an impeccable hind leg that allows him to plant and drive with supreme range of motion! It is rare to find a crossbred boar that is designed to be bred to almost any kind of sow, but we feel we have found that kind of boar in UNIVERSAL!!
